Buying a used phone: a checklist before paying
Compare the same version
Choose Phones on Bikyaa and filter by brand and governorate. Compare the same model and storage capacity, asking about battery condition and repair history. Capacity, condition and accessories can explain differences in asking prices.
Request useful details
Ask about the screen, battery, charging and cameras, and whether the phone has been opened or repaired. Request actual photos from all sides and a list of included accessories. A description such as “like new” does not replace inspection.
Test it yourself
Meet somewhere safe and test touch input, cameras, calls, microphones, speakers, charging and Wi-Fi. Inspect ports, buttons and signs of damage or swelling. Confirm the model and storage in the device settings.
Check it is ready to use
Ask the seller to remove their accounts and activation locks, and confirm you can set up the phone with your own account before paying. Review identifying details and available documents where needed; consult an independent technician if its condition is unclear. Never share passwords or sign-in codes.
Make your request specific
If the right device is unavailable, post a Wanted request with the model, storage, budget and governorate. Bikyaa does not inspect phones on your behalf; inspection and direct agreements are the parties' responsibility.
